This documents my trip to Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, CA during August of 2004. My friends and I stayed in Upper Pines Campground in Yosemite Valley -- during the summer, this campground is covered in a nasty haze of campfire smoke. We started our hike at 8am and arrived back at our campsite at 6pm. Crystal had some serious blisters. My legs kept cramping and I sprained my ankle (slightly). All of us were pretty delirious at the end. We covered around 16 miles of intense uphill and downhill hiking. I took some photos to inspire my landscape painting. I used a photo from the Curry Village parking lot.
