Newest oil painting series: Archetypes

Archetypes - Jungian psychology, an inherited pattern of thought or symbolic imagery derived from the past collective experience and present in the individual unconscious.

My thoughts while painting: Cosmic pagoda bursting like the seeds of a dandelion flying in a breeze, connecting the randomness of spatial disparities, converging extremes in an organized chaos, diverting streams that flow from isolation to a concoction of complements. A commonality influences the evolution of this landscape -- drawing tranquility -- no matter how opposing perceptions may be. Evading permanence and duplication. No beginning, no end. Absolve the absolutes and resist digitization; coalescing around symmetry, yet glorifying imperfection

The Neo-Freudian psychologist Carl Jung was a pioneer in the theory of archetypes -- primordial ruminations that lie in our subconscious mind, a concept that's always fascinated me.
