War Photos - 4/5/05

Capturing moments both intimate and historic, photojournalists provide the visual fodder that brings the news alive. A few are willing to risk their lives to photograph the horrific realities of war. Photojournalists on the frontlines offer a glimpse into unimaginable anguish, destruction, heroism, and redemption. From the rubble of Iraq to the refugee camps of Rwanda, they allow us to observe aspects of battle such as civilian casualties, military missions, collateral damage, and the duty of being a soldier.
