Being the medium of murals for churches and historical monuments, fresco is rarely used in modern times. Fresco is a combination of limestone and sand. The paints used are powders. Water combines all of these elements (limestone, sand, and paint) to create a resilient, long-lasting surface. By using a sturdy wood frame, structolite, and thick wire mesh, I have encased a few frescos into separate artworks.
